Selling real estate is always a topic of interest for any home owner. The average American will sell a house every five to seven years. Given a 90 year life expectancy and assuming you buy your first house at age 30. You can expect to selling 8 to 12 houses in your life time.

It is not sufficient to think you know how to sell or lease a property. That skill is not enough as most other agents will think the same. Before you actually put your property on the market, do yourself a favor. Hire an attorney. Not just any attorney, but one who specializes in real estate. Do not hire your family lawyer or the one who got you your divorce. Loyalty is great but it has its limits. You need someone who represents real estate clients every day, week in and week out, not once every couple of months. You do not want to be paying for someone to be trained on the job. You are likely to have much at stake in the sale of your land, and you simply cannot afford to have someone screwing it up because they are in over their heads.
Now it's time to talk about value again. The best value for most people would be a full service company that discounts its services and is staffed with agents who have business expertise and the requisite skills to maximize your profits or savings. All I have done was outline a logical thought process, in effect showing you that it is really not a jungle out there.
